An unusual collision Sunday night on Empire Avenue saw a car crash through a fence of one home and just miss the front step of another residence.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. when the driver of the car apparently swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle at the intersection of Empire Avenue and Newtown Road. One person in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital while the homeowner surveyed the damage.
The car sustained moderate damage while the fence was reduced to rubble.
