Car destroyed by early Monday morning fire in St. John's

Firefighters were called to a car fire behind a commercial building at 349 Kenmount Road early Monday morning.

The fire was reported by a passerby who saw smoke coming from behind the structure just after midnight. When firefighters arrived on scene, the car was fully engulfed in flames but they had the blaze under control within minutes of their arrival.

There was no information available about the cause of the fire and the RNC is investigating the incident.
