C.B.S. man facing sexual assault, five other charges

St. John’s man arrested at shopping mall on variety of charges

The RNC is investigating an armed robbery that happened late Sunday night at Hooligans in Conception Bay South.

A 31-year-old man was arrested in C.B.S. on Sunday and is facing six charges including sexual assault.

The RNC responded to a call for assistance and took the man into custody on charges that included break and entry, overcoming resistance, harassing phone calls, criminal harassment, breach of parole and the sexual assault charge.

Here was remanded by the RNC and will appear in court on all charges.

In another call from Sunday, a 25-year-old man was arrested at a St. John’s shopping centre. The call, which came in around 12:30 p.m., saw the man arrested and charged for assault, criminal harassment, forcible confinement, overcoming resistance and breach of a court order.

He was held pending a court appear.

And 18-year-old man was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on Sunday night in the east end of St. John’s following a disturbance in the home.

The man was charged with three counts of assault, uttering threats and mischief stemming from damage to property.

He was held in lockup overnight and will appear in court in St. John’s this morning.

At 1:45 p.m., a 35-year-old man was arrested in three counts of breaching a court order stemming from a domestic disturbance call in the centre city area of St. John’s.

He was taken to lockup and will remain there until he can appear in court.

A 37-year-old man turned himself into the RNC around 9 p.m. Sunday night. There was a warrant for his arrest ongoing at the time of his arrest. He was held overnight pending a court appearance this morning.

A 56-year-old woman will appear in St. John’s court this morning for two breaches of court orders stemming from an arrest on those violations in Mount Pearl at 11 p.m. Sunday night.

The RNC had responded to a complaint from a resident of Mount Pearl claiming the woman, who was known to the complainant, was in violation of a court order.

The RNC responded to 131 calls in the St. John’s region from 4 a.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Monday morning.
