Julia Collins accepted the White Coat on behalf of her late father, pharmacist David Collins, Thursday during the Memorial University school of pharmacy’s Class of 2022 White Coat Ceremony at the Health Sciences Centre. David Collins, 55, a native of Placentia, was a member of the board of directors of the Pharmacists’ Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and worked with the Lawton’s Drug Store chain for more than 30 years. He died in December 2016. Julia Collins reflected on her father’s life and his career as a pharmacist, and said he would have been proud to receive the White Coat.
