One of the charges against C.B.S. tattoo artist Ken Power will be withdrawn when he appears in provincial court Friday, The Telegram has learned.
Power, 45, was originally charged with criminal harassment and publishing defamatory libel in connection with incidents said to have happened between February and March of this year.

However, when his case is called in court in St. John’s Friday, the Crown will withdraw the defamatory libel charge.
Prosecutor Jennifer Colford told The Telegram that the Crown has learned the charge is unconstitutional in this case.
Power has pleaded not guilty on the harassment charge, and his trial will take place Friday.
