Happy Valley-Goose Bay man charged in connection with alleged crime spree

HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. – An ongoing police investigation has resulted in charges against Michael Lidd of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

According to a release, Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP responded to multiple calls of property damage and break and enters in the town on the morning of June 8.

Multiple cars on the property of both Precision Auto Ltd. and Cabot Auto Ltd. had their windows smashed sometime overnight, the RCMP reported, while a shed at the Royal Canadian Legion was forcibly entered and a bicycle was stolen from Home Hardware.

Lidd, 30, has been charged with mischief over $5,000 and possession of stolen property obtained by crime. Further charges are pending against him, according to the release.

Lidd was held in custody and has another court date scheduled for today, June 13.
