Firefighters in Harbour Grace managed to contain an overnight fire on Lady Lake Road Wednesday, Aug. 15.
According to an RCMP officer who remained at the scene that morning, members of the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade received a call about the blaze shortly after 3 a.m. Smoke and flames were visible at the time.
No one was in the home when the fire occurred. The officer said that by 6 a.m., firefighters had the scene under control. Damage resulting from the fire was extensive.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
