Dale Kirby is no longer Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, nor a member of the Liberal caucus.

Premier Dwight Ball announced today just before the sitting of the House of Assembly that Kirby had been ejected from cabinet and caucus amid allegations of harassment, similar to those levied against fronted Municipal Affairs Minister Eddie Joyce.

Ball could not speak to the nature of the allegations, only to say they are not sexual or physical in nature.

Ball could not confirm whether any additional formal complaints have been received.

The matter has been passed to Commissioner of Legislative Standards Bruce Chaulk. Ball says Chaulk has the ability to seek outside assistance to aid in his investigation.

More to come.
