UPDATE: Bomb threat at school in St. Mary’s a hoax

RCMP have determined that a bomb threat at Dunne Memorial Academy in St. Mary’s was a hoax.

Students were evacuated earlier today after a note warning of a bomb was found in the school.

The school was searched by the RCMP Police Service Dog, teachers and members of the RCMP.

The building was cleared and students were returned to class.

Police will be continuing the investigation in an effort to determine the author of the letter.  


Previous story:

Dunne Memorial Academy students in St. Mary’s have been evacuated following the discovery of a bomb threat note at the school this morning.

Students have been moved to another location while RCMP search the school using an explosives detection dog.
