Paramedics with Eastern Health, members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE), held a demonstration over the noon hour today near Confederation Building in St. John’s.

The paramedics are calling on the Minister of Health and the CEO of Eastern Health to take action to address what they claim is a critical shortage of on-duty ambulances and paramedic staff at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s.

NAPE represents over 25,000 public and private sector workers across Newfoundland and Labrador.
