UPDATE: RCMP/RNC arrest man wanted in connection with robbery

Trinity Conception RCMP, with the assistance of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary,  arrested Barry Austin Morningstar Tuesday, in connection with a robbery at a residence in Shearstown on April 22.

Morningstar, 21, was the subject of a news release on April 29. The RCMP had issued an arrest warrant for him for a number of alleged offences during the robbery in Shearstown.

The RCMP,  RNC and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit have been actively engaged in this investigate, which led them to a St. John's residence where Morningstar was arrested Tuesday.

He will appear in court today in Harbour Grace.

RCMP seeking help to find robbery suspect

The RCMP has issued an arrest warrant for Barry Austin Morningstar, 21, for a number of alleged offences during robbery in Shearstown on April 22.

Police say Morningstar is believed to be in the St. John’s area.

He is described as about 5'10" in height, with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left forearm with the word "Morning" and a star near the elbow.

He can also go by aliases "Larr", "Larr Pitts", "Mark Fowlow".
