Drugs seized on New World Island

A 23-year-old man is facing drug-related charges after Twillingate RCMP conducted a traffic stop in Virgin Arm Friday.

An unspecified quantity of cocaine, LSD, marijuana and prescription narcotics was discovered and seized during that traffic stop that took place on the western half of New World Island.

The man is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Police were still investigating the matter as of early Saturday morning.
