The highly popular second season of Big Brother Canada concluded last night and Clarenville residents were pleased to see their hometown favorite win the competition.

Jon Pardy won the reality game show and received $100,000 after making it to the finals alongside two other housemates.

In addition to the grand prize, Pardy also won cash and a trip during his time on the show.

Pardy spent two months in the isolated Big Brother house alongside 14 other contestants who gradually vote each other out and eliminate them from the show on a week-to-week basis.

Six of these former contestants decided his fate and voted as “jurors” on who should win the grand prize.

In an added twist, this season the viewers were able to vote in a poll as the “seventh juror”, helping decide who would ultimately be named the winner of Big Brother Canada’s season two.

Pardy was unavailable to comment on his win at this time.
