Signal Hill fox injured

One of the silver foxes that have captured attention of visitors to Signal Hill  has been injured. The animal, photographed by Telegram photographer Rhonda Hayward late last week, was limping on an obviously broken foreleg, and one eye was damaged and appeared to be blind. Parks Canada officials had been attempting to capture and relocate several foxes after it became known that the animals were being fed by visitors to the hill in spite of warnings from Parks Canada. It was feared the animals, now unafraid of humans, might hurt a sightseer.  It is not known how the fox was injured.  — Photo by Rhonda Hayward/The Telegram
