Missing teenage girl located

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary reported early Tuesday morning that the 13-year-old girl previously reported missing has now been located.

The RNC is asking the public for help locating missing person Mackenzie Downey, 13.

About 2:30 a.m. today, the RNC received a call concerning the Mackenzie.

She was last seen on Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the area of Torbay Road in St. John’s.

There is information to suggest that she may have been seen in the area of Livingstone Street early Monday morning.

Mackenzie is described as being approximately 5’4”, 160 pounds with long, brown hair and green eyes. When last seen she was wearing a black skirt and a pink/coral-coloured shirt.

The RNC Major Crime Unit is continuing the search and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
