The dates for Atlantic Canada Petroleum Show at Mile One Stadium will be changed in order to serve the needs of the AHL, according to a statement issued by Noia.

The IceCaps will play on the Monday and Tuesday, June 16 and 17, at Mile One Centre. Under the existing schedule, the games would have pushed into the planned set-up period for exhibitors at the oil and gas trade show.

As a result, the trade show dates are being pushed by 24 hours — now running Thursday and Friday, June 19 and 20.

“All exhibitors have been notified that the show has moved 24 hours forward and that the event will go ahead,” states a news release issued by Noia.

The Atlantic Canada Petroleum Show is scheduled to tie in with the Noia conference — the premiere event in the regional oil and gas industry’s annual calendar, offering project updates on offshore oil and gas work, as well as discussion of hot topics.

This year’s conference — with presenters from all of the major oil companies active offshore Newfoundland and Labrador and guest speakers ranging from Silken Laumann to former premier Brian Tobin — will be held at the St. John’s Convention Centre and will go ahead as scheduled, from June 17-20.

The conference is titled “Play on the Edge 2014” and more information is available at noiaconference.com. The Telegram will have full coverage.
