The second cruise ship of the season, the Crystal Symphony, has cancelled its call to port in St. John’s.

City spokeswoman Susan Bonnell said the ship, which was due to dock Sunday, will bypass St. John’s due to “poor marine conditions.”

The Symphony’s schedule takes it to Reykjavik, Iceland, after leaving port in New York on June 1. The ship carries 940 passengers and 545 crew.

The next scheduled cruise ship visit is a return visit from the Sea Adventurer on June 12. The Sea Adventurer, with 118 passengers and 72 crew, was in port Monday before departing on a circumnavigation of Newfoundland.
