Impaired drivers, turned around walkers, and fisticuffs

Impaired drivers kept the RNC busy Saturday night.

A man has been charged with impaired driving while on an all terrain vehicle. Police received a complaint about the driver Saturday night. A 48 year old male was arrested for impaired and refusal of the breathalyzer. He was also issued a number of summary offense tickets and released to appear in court at a later date.

A 42 year old male was found to be impaired while operating a motorcycle Saturday night on Topsail Road. A motorcycle collision at Topsail and Paradise Road sent to the Health Sciences to be treated for minor injuries where he was charged with impaired. He was issued a number of summary offense tickets for driving without a valid license and failing to transfer ownership. He was released to appear in Court at a later date.

 At 1:00 A.M. police were called to the area of Shoal Bay Road in St. John’s where a 18 year old male had become separated from his friends while on the East Coast Trail. Police were successful in locating the male a short time later. He wasn't injured but was exhausted after his ordeal.

 A dust up at a Club in CBS Saturday night sent two people to hospital. The extent of their injuries isn't unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
