A woman was arrested in St. John’s last night for allegedly committing an armed robbery at a business in the centre city area.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s overnight report, the 29-year-old will face charges of theft under $5,000 and assault with a weapon. She also allegedly breached court orders.
Police were called to the business at 11:30 p.m. Friday. No details have been released about what was allegedly taken from the business or what type of weapon was used to commit the robbery.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
