A trial for Nelson Hart was postponed Tuesday due to the Crown and defence waiting for disclosure documents.

Hart is facing four charges of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and also a charge of assaulting an officer of the peace.

Hart was convicted in the 2002 deaths of his twin daughters, three-year-old Krista and Karen Hart. Earlier in August, he was declared a free man after the Supreme Court ruled that evidence gathered in that police operation would be inadmissible and the Crown decided not to seek another trial.

Hart is also accused of damaging property at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary and giving false statements to police. Hart has pleaded not guilty to all accusations.

The date for his trial will be decided in court on Oct. 9.
