A public complaint tipped off the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary about a possible impaired driver that reportedly struck a guard rail on Kenmount Road shortly before 8:15 p.m.

Officers found the vehicle and arrested a 30-year-old man for impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. The vehicle was impounded after police issued traffic tickets for driving with no insurance . He will appear in court at a later date.

A few hours later at 11:05 p.m., police were called to Airport Heights. A 41-year-old man was arrested there for impaired driving, failing the breathalyzer, and driving while disqualified. He was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
