The RCMP says Frederic Theriault, missing since Tuesday, has been located in good health.
He has been taken to a local hospital to be assessed by a doctor.

RCMP searching for missing person on Burin Peninsula

The Burin Peninsula RCMP is searching for missing person Frederic Theriault who has not been seen since going for a walk in Point May about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Theriault, 23, a resident of Saguenay, Que., left the residence he was staying in to go for a walk before supper and did not return.

Local residents searched through Tuesday night with no success.

On Wednesday, in addition to local residents, an extensive search of the area included the Burin Peninsula Ground Search and Rescue team, a helicopter provided by Fire and Emergency services and a second helicopter belonging to the Canadian Coast Guard.

The Ground Search and Rescue team is returning to the area today.

Theriault was last seen in the area of the tower at Point Crew near the community of Point May at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday. He has black shoulder-length hair, a beard, blue eyes and wears glasses. He is approximately 150 pounds and 5'10" tall. When last seen he was wearing khaki-coloured pants, a brownish-red T-shirt and possibly a light-brown jacket.
