Ocean Choice International is celebrating a legal win against icelandic Landvis Inc. in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court.

In a news release, Ocean Choice applauded Justice David Orsborn for setting aside the Landvis statement of claim.

“We believed from the outset that there was absolutely no merit to the claim filed by Landvis and that they were simply seeking to divert control to themselves in a manner that was not in the best interests of OCI or our province,” Ocean Choice International Chief Operating Officer Blaine Sullivan, said in the news release.

Landvis is a minority shareholder in Ocean Choice, and in their lawsuit, they were seeking to gain control of the company from the Sullivans. The statement of claim alleged that the Sullivan family running the company had damaged the company with questionable financial decisions.
