Collision with parked car injures one woman

A collision with a parked vehicle sent one woman to hospital Saturday night.

The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. on Westport Drive in Paradise when the vehicle the woman was driving slammed into a parked car on the quiet street. Personnel from the Mount Pearl station of the St. John’s Regional fire department as well as paramedics from Eastern Health responded to the accident and placed the injured woman in an ambulance for transport.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating the incident and no information is available as to the cause of the collision.
