Nestlé Canada Inc. is recalling specific lots of Nestlé brand Good Start 2 Concentrated Liquid Infant Formula from the marketplace due to potentially reduced nutrients for infants.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says feeding a child the affected product could lead to lower intake of some nutrients, due to reduced bioavailability. The recall is national.

Consumers should check to see if they have the recalled product. Recalled products should be thrown out and consumers should call Nestlé Consumer Services for reimbursement at 1-855-395-1238.

The recalled product is Good Start 2 (Omega 3 & 6, dietary fiber, and added iron and calcium) Iron Fortified Milk-based Infant Formula – Concentrated Liquid in 12, 359 ml packages or individual tetra packages.
