Impaired driver caught after stop at corner store

An impaired driver was nabbed after being spotted at a centre city St. John's convenience store Thursday night.

The RNC received the report at 9 p.m. and the driver was located a short time later in the west end of the city.

He was taken to Fort Townshend for the breathalyzer test.  

The 59-year-old man was charged with impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
