Staff and students at Gonzaga High School gathered at St. Pius X church to remember the victims of the Ocean Ranger Tragedy.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the sinking of the offshore oil rig, which went down on Feb. 15, 1982.

All of the 84 men who were on the rig at the time were killed.

At a St. Pius X church ceremony Friday to remember the Ocean Ranger, Gonzaga band member Megan Moret performs “Atlantic Blue” composed by the late Ron Hynes. She is accompanied on guitar by fellow student Jacob Hearty.
