HARBOUR GRACE, NL — A man from South River accused of recently robbing a Bay Roberts gas station was arrested again over the Christmas holidays for allegedly breaching conditions of his release.

Evan Blake Tipple appeared in Harbour Grace Provincial Court Thursday, Dec. 28. The 28-year-old consented to remain in custody until his next court date on Jan. 9, 2018.

Police arrested Tipple and charged him with unlawfully committing robbery at the Ultramar gas station in Bay Roberts on Nov. 26. He underwent psychiatric evaluation and was released on a recognizance earlier this month.

However, the accused faced new charges of resisting arrest, uttering threats and breaching his recognizance following an alleged incident on Boxing Day in South River. Those charges against Tipple were sworn Dec. 27.
