Armed group enters Mount Pearl home, confronts residents

Police are investigating after a confrontation in a Mount Pearl home that involved firearms and “edged weapons.”

Several people entered the home with weapons Friday night and confronted the residents, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said in a police report. Police responded around 9:30 p.m.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police hope to identify and locate those responsible. Anyone with information that could help the investigation can call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Information can be given anonymously online at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
