Assault lands St. John’s man in court

St. John’s, N.L. — A 24-year-old man is in court this morning (Saturday) after a racket in the centre part of the city Friday afternoon.

Police responded to a call at a multi-person residential unit where they arrested the young man for mischief to property, uttering threats to do bodily harm, assault, assault with a weapon and for breaching a court order.

The adult male victim required medical treatment as a result of the assault. The accused was brought to the St. John’s City Lockup and held for court.
