Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield is clewing up his cross-country “Canada 151” speaking tour tonight in St. John’s at Holy Heart Theatre at 8 p.m.

Hadfield has become a worldwide sensation after 21 years working as an astronaut, including becoming the first and only Canadian to ever command a spaceship when he was made Commander of the International Space Station in 2013.

A decorated astronaut, engineer, and pilot, Hadfield’s many awards include receiving the Order of Canada, the Meritorious Service Cross, and the NASA Exceptional Service Medal.

He’s most recently made a name for himself through his social media posts documenting life in space.

Hadfield will be sharing such stories, as well as songs, images, and ideas about Canada. He’ll also share insights about technological breakthroughs and the importance of life-long education at the sold-out event tonight.
