GEORGE'S BROOK-MILTON, NL— After days of multiple bear sightings, a bear has been trapped in one of the two culvert traps laid in George's Brook- Milton.

While most of the bear sightings were in Milton near the vet clinic, the bear was caught in the George's Brook trap.

Craig Pardy, chair of the local service district (LSD), says the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources is confident the bear captured in George's Brook is the same one spotted in Milton.

However, as a precaution, the other trap remains baited, just in case.

The Department could not be reached for comment.
