Blanket of fog forecasted to cloak south coast, Avalon until Thursday

A few grey, foggy days are in store for the province’s south coast and sections of the Avalon Peninsula.

Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for the Burin Peninsula, Connaigre and Burgeo-Ramea areas, as well as the southeast and southwest Avalon Peninsula.

Dense fog will spread inland tonight before retreating to the coast on Tuesday morning, the advisory states. The conditions are projected to continue into Thursday.

Visibility is expected to be near zero and motorists are advised to drive with caution.
