A 30-year-old Cape St. George man, who is facing several driving charges, has been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
According to a prepared release from the Bay St. George RCMP, a member saw a side-byside driving illegally on Oceanview Drive in Cape St. George close to midnight on Friday.
When the member attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled in the all-terrain vehicle but got stuck a short distance away.
The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving an all-terrain vehicle side-by-side on a roadway.
The side-by-side was impounded following the arrest.
