Firefighters didn’t have far to go Monday evening when a car slammed into a traffic pole directly in front of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department’s central station, with RNC headquarters just another few meters away.
The female driver wasn’t injured but witnesses say she was visibly agitated as she emerged from the vehicle and spoke with police.
No information was available as to what might have caused the collision.
The car was extensively damaged and traffic was slowed in both directions until the scene could be cleared.
