Cocaine and marijuana seized during searches of Corner Brook and Cormack homes

A three-month joint drug investigation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has resulted in the arrest of a Corner Brook man.

The 29-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after the execution of two search warrants on homes in Corner Brook and Cormack.
Approximately one kilogram of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, drug producing equipment, drug paraphernalia and a significant amount of cash were seized during the searches.
As a result of the seizure, police say that about 4,000 doses of cocaine and 1,300 marijuana cigarettes have been taken off the streets.
The man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Corner Brook on May 2.
