The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is reaching out to inshore harvesters with a series of meetings this month.

Meetings are being held in NAFO sub-division 4R3Pn this week with sessions already taking place Monday in Hawkes Bay and Tuesday in L’Anse au Clair.

Meeting are also scheduled for Cow Head today, Wednesday, and Stephenville on Thursday.

The intent of the sessions is to give inshore harvesters and other interested stakeholders with a chance to talk about their concerns.

More meetings will be held on the province’s south coast in mid-to-late November.
