Wednesday afternoon, police located and arrested a man in connection a recent armed robbery at Marie's Mini Mart in Conception Bay South.
The man was held in custody to appear at provincial court in St. John’s Thursday facing charges of robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as several breaches of court orders, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Thursday.
The RNC thanked the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation as several tips were received as a result of the original release.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) criminal investigation division is looking for the public’s help to identify a man responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store in Conception Bay South (CBS).
On Aug. 5, just before 10:30 p.m., officers with operational patrol, police dog services, and forensic identification responded to a report of an armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart at 2186 Topsail Rd. Store staff told police a lone male entered the store and demanded cash.
The Caucasian man, described as being about 5’10” tall, heavy set with a beard and roughly 30 years old, was wearing a dark ball cap and grey coat.
A weapon was used but there were no injuries. The suspect got away before police arrived and police dog services were unable to locate him.
