Portugal Cove, N.L. — The RNC stopped a vehicle in the Portugal Cove area around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after getting an anonymous complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Portugal Cove.

The officers stopped the vehicle but found no signs of impairment. The 20-year-driver was however issued summary offence tickets for operating with false plate, no insurance, and expired registration. The vehicle was impounded.
