St. John’s, N.L. — Friday night at 10:13, RNC patrol officers conducted a traffic safety stop on Topsail Road Paradise and found that the 23-year-old man was driving without insurance. He was issued a summary offence ticket for operating an uninsured vehicle and released, but his vehicle was impounded.

At 10:51 p.m., officers responded to a tip from the public of a possible impaired driver travelling east from the Seal Cove area of C.B.S. The vehicle was located and as a result a 47-year-old man was arrested on charges of impaired driving and failing the Breathalyzer after test results were in excess of three times the legal limit. He was released to appear in court at a later date, but his vehicle was impounded.

At 12:15 a.m. this morning, RNC patrol officers stopped a 27-year-old man in St. John’s.  The driver was issued summary offence tickets for driving without insurance, failure to transfer ownership and operating a motor vehicle while suspended. The driver was released however the vehicle was impounded.
