Early morning collision in St. John's leaves car in ditch

A motor-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning had the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and St. John’s Regional firefighters responding to the incident on Mount Scio Road.

A motor-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning left this car in a ditch on Mount Scio Road.

When they arrived they only found a car in a ditch but no driver or occupants in the vicinity. The vehicle was positioned head-on in a ditch at the rear entrance to the Tim Horton’s coffee shop located at the intersection of Mount Scio and Thorburn Road. Its rear window was shattered and there was no indication as to how the vehicle ended up in the area. Police are investigating the incident.
