A small electric fire in the basement of Jackman and Green's on Cookstown Road had emergency crews on the scene on Saturday afternoon.
Two employees reported a smell of smoke at around noon and got out of the building without incident.
Capt. Craig Cox says there was no damage to the building. Crews cleared the scene just after 1:00pm.

There is a large presence of emergency vehicles near Jackman and Green's on Cookstown Road. The corner has been blocked off and fire trucks, an amulance and police are on standby. It is not yet known why the street is cordoned off, but a witness told The Telegram there was an odour of smoke.
