The free family event sponsored by Agriculture Canada played host to a galley of games, exhibits and research demonstrations.
Hundreds turned out to pet the animals, take a hayride, climb or ride a tractor and watch and participate in the 4-H Calf showmanship competition. Some learned to milk a cow, plant a seed or were introduced to insect research and vermicomposting.
The Community Food Sharing Association was on hand to take donations of food or cash.
A bevy of staff and volunteers worked to keep parking available, exhibits humming, and answer questions from curious visitors of all ages.
