The St. John’s Regional Fire Department and provincial Forestry firefighters are fighting multiple fires in the hills above the entrance to Quidi Vidi Village.
The fires are in an area roughly 50 by 100 feet.
Hikers have been advised to avoid Sugarloaf Path (East Coast Trail) between Logy Bay and Quidi Vidi Village by the East Coast Trail Association upon the advice of the St. John's Fire Department and the trail has been closed.
