Flying chunk of ice from van causes accident in Ferndale

Ferndale, N.L. - The RCMP in Placentia are looking for a white cargo van that was a factor in a motor vehicle accident this morning in Ferndale.

According to police, a large piece of ice flew off the roof of the van and struck the windshield of a pickup truck that was driving in the opposite direction.

As a result, the truck hit a guardrail, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The van did not stop at the scene of the accident.

This pickup truck was involved in an accident after a chunk of ice from another vehicle smashed into the windshield.

Fortunately, the driver of the pickup was not injured in the crash.
