Newfoundland Power crews were on  the scene of an outage in Topsail this morning. The outage was said to have been caused by trees down over the power lines. The power in that area went out shortly after 5 a.m. and was expected to be restored by 8 a.m.

Freezing rain will change to drizzle or freezing drizzle near noon. Parts of the coast will see rain this morning. The expected rainfall amount is 10 mm and there will be fog patches.

The freezing drizzle will last into tonight.

There are also special weather statements for the Bonavista Peninsula, and Clarenville that suggest snow will taper off this morning with total accumulations of up to 10 cm.
