Gas prices drop by up to 5.8 cents per litre today

Gas prices have dropped by up to 5.8 cents per litre in the province today, according to the weekly adjustment of maximum prices set by the province’s Public Utilities Board.

The decrease is in effect for all types of gasoline motor fuel.

Diesel fuel on the island part of the province has increased by up to 1.1 cents per litre, while diesel fuel in Labrador is down by up to 4.1 cents per litre.

Furnace oil heating fuel and stove oil heating fuel have both increased by .95 cents per litre.

Meanwhile, propane heating fuel will se no change this week.

The Public Utilities Board sets the maximum prices for all regulated petroleum products in all areas of the province weekly.
