The Clarenville Ford Caribous host the Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprises CeeBee Stars today in the deciding game of the Herder Memorial Trophy Champions series brought to you by The Telegram.

After coming out to make the initial save, Caribous' goalie Jason Churchill was knocked to the ice by sliding players leaving the net wide open for CeeBee's Shane Boland to win the game 1-0 in the second overtime period.

The teams split games 1 and 2 in Harbour Grace last weekend. Game 3 on Friday night went to the Caribous by a score of 4-1 and Saturday night's game went deep into overtime with the CeeBees Shane Boland finding the net into the second overtime frame.

If the Caribous want to win the Herder on home ice today, they will have to find an answer to CeeBee Stars goalie AJ Whiffen who stopped 57 shots Saturday night for the shutout win.

Look for a cautious and defensive start to today's game with things opening up quickly with a lot of good offence.

The Caribous' Kenny Mahoney almost ended Saturday night's game in the first overtime period on this breakaway that was turned away by CeeBee's goalie AJ Whiffen. The puck dangled for a bit with open net behind but did not cross the goal line.
