Entering its eighth season in Newfoundland, its third season in Mount Pearl and its 14th season across the country, Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! provides opportunity for anyone to play organized street hockey. Attracting self-selected teams of four to nine players from almost every community across Newfoundland, the event will be the largest participatory sporting tournament of any kind held across Canada this year, the organization said in a news release.
Hours for the event are Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
About 4,000 road hockey players of all ages are expected to participate.
