The RCMP said the home is owned by a St. John's couple who frequent the area periodically.
Local teens were observed entering the residence early Tuesday and eye witnesses have given police descriptions which the RCMP says could lead to possible arrests in the near future. Police officers will be conducting further interviews today to confirm the identities of suspects.
Damage to the inside of the home has suggested that it has been entered on more than one occasion. The total damage hasn’t yet been fully calculated.
